The Olympic Plate with Steel Bushing is an essential piece of free-weight equipment and very versatile, as it is used on most bars and on plate-loaded machines. It can also be used as a strength tool in exercises such as sit-ups and squats, using it as added weight.
The main feature of this plate is that it has a steel bushing in the centre with a 51 mm inner diameter. The bushing lets the plate slide on and fix easily onto a standard 50 mm diameter weight bar.
This keeps the plate in place so it doesn't slip during the lift. In addition, its design and the layout of its cut-outs make it easy to grip and hold, making it ideal for use with a bar and in other carrying, lifting, etc. exercises where grip is essential.
